Santo was born in Italy and at present is the only person in BICMA, who can fluently speak five languages. Until 2000 he was a restaurant manager but, through BICMA became involved in film work as a background artist. He has been training in Chin Woo since 1989 and so when he left his job at the restaurant it seemed a logical progression to pursue the film work and martial arts further.

Santo qualified as a BICMA coach in 1999 and has been an invaluable member of the team ever since. He also obtained a qualification in stage combat and has since appeared in Johnny English, ER, Spooks and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers amongst others.

He has also featured in several advertisements including '118 118 BT Directory Enquiries' and Sainsburys alongside Jamie Oliver. He has competed in five National Competitions to date in open hand and weapons sections. As a black belt in Kung Fu, he teaches weapons, San Shou and Kung Fu which he thoroughly enjoys.
