Alexis originally started training in Karate at age 10 and Kung Fu with BICMA in 1996. He immediately fell in love with it - so much so that in 1998 he became an assistant coach. In 2000 he became a full time BICMA coach in Wushu, Chin Woo, Gymnastics and San Shou (Chinese Kickboxing). Having gained so much from training in Chin Woo, Gymnastics and San Shou, he felt he wanted to give other people the opportunity to enjoy their training just as he did.

He felt it would also help him improve in his own training. He inspires hard work and dedication in his students and leads many of them to success in competition.

Alexis is one of those naturally extremely supple people, a fact that inspires everyone around him to stretch a lot more! To date, he has obtained coaching qualifications from BICMA, BCCMA, BGA, St Johns Ambulance and City and Guilds. As a very talented athlete in all the aspects he trains in, he also is part of the BICMA squad and has had many TV, film and theatre opportunities to date, including:
